So the new trailer is finally here and I must say the overall response from the public is good, the trailer looks up to date and modern as well as leaving lots of us guessing about where Rockstar plan to take us in this forthcoming game. The only real thing we know from the trailer is the location which is back in San Andreas which is probably the most  popular location that any of the previous games were set in. There were also a couple of characters shown that may or may not be central to the game and that is the slightly older character which was shown a few times and is also thought to be the guy doing the voice over which does sound like Ray Liotta from Goodfellas fame and he has voiced before so why not.

There is also quite a few shots of a black gangster looking guy who is running from cops on both foot and in a car, now the rumours have it that both these guys are older versions of the two guys we saw in the Vice City which were Tommy Verceti who was around 20 at the time and this is GTA looks to be set 25 years later which would make the lead character 45 which is about right and also CJ who is thought to be the black guy running from cops.

All in all we cant speculate too much apart from to say that the game looks amazing and we hope that the vast array of vehicles we see from cars to jet skis to planes will be available for us to buy or steal and drive how we wish which has always been part of the fun of GTA games, Stay tuned for any more updates on this fantastic looking game as and when I get them.

So it would seem that Turn 10 studio’s have done it again, they have managed to improve their series of car games with another beautifully stunningly rendered game called Forza Motorsport 4, For those of us who love our racing games and that does include me, we have known that this game was coming out for quite some time but we never thought it would look this beautiful, the cars are modelled very well and even the subtle lighting effects all add to a very immersive state of game play.

This year the makers have added in kinect abilities which allow you to race the cars using your hands and no controller and also enables you to enter autovista mode whereby you can walk around the cars and then get in them and explore in detail every last piece of dashboard.

As with the previous games there is a huge and involving career mode which has you racing for cash and cars and enabling you to buy better machines and upgrade them even further to propel you to the top of your game. The game features over 500 cars which is more than enough to keep even the most fussy car enthusiast happy and they have all been modeled in the same painstakingly finite detail.

This year has seen a collaboration with the Television Programme Top Gear and the game now features commentary from My Jeremy Clarkson when you are in Autovista mode and also the top gear test track makes an appearance as does the reasonably priced car the Kia C’eed which means you can put in your own test laps round the famous circuit.

In short this game looks stunning and is very easy to fall in love with, it plays very well and the learning curve is steep but not to steep to keep everyone away. Trust me when I say if you are a motor sport fan then you need this game in your life.

So the greatest football/soccer game has just arrived and has been totally redesigned and is looking bigger and better than ever before, if your a Fifa fan then you are going to love it but why do I need to tell you that as you have probably got the game already, for those that are not quite sure just dip your toe in and try it, I had a friend at work who loves football but has never been a huge gamer, he owns about 4 games and he brought it on my say so and it is now his favourite game and we have had lots of great games online.

The graphics are a huge improvement over previous efforts and the game engine has been completely redesigned, there are now more accurate tackles and people bumping into each other is a lot more realistic then it has been, players now get injured with much more frighteningly realistic tackles and the defending aspect of the game has been rebuilt from the ground up so that it resembles real life football much more closely.

There has always been a battle going on between Fifa and Pro Evo soccer and to be fair they have always been quite closely matched but this new Fifa 12 has taken them way ahead of Pro Evo and there is now only one clear winner. Fifa 12 was released on the 20th Sept on all platforms.

SO Gears Of War 3 is released across Europe tomorrow and I’m sure like the rest it will be an instant hit, I will tell you a secret and that is that I have only ever owned the first one, I loved gears of war but for some reason never got into gears of war 2 and cant see myself buying GOW3 either, I know its a sacrilege but hey if you don’t like a game you don’t like it, I can certainly see why people do, the fast paced gore fest has long been a favourite of shooter fans but sadly with the latest installment that is all coming to an end, Epic the games makers have said that is it for GOW and they have tried to put a big full stop on the end of the game. As usual there are a host of new characters to your team and a couple of extra nasty weapons which is to be expected from a new game, again it is Marcus Fenix and his team up against an impossibly big army of locusts, (huge aliens not 4 inch insects).

The game does look graphically superb until you push it, when you have lots of onscreen enemies or when you are firing at a heavy rate from one of the bigger guns the frame rate can drop slightly which is a minor irritation granted but one I noticed, What I will say is that the game although it had a slight feel of having seen it all before was still quite good fun at times and I’m sure to the hordes of GOW fans it will be the best game since sliced bread, Now go out and enjoy it my friends because it is the last time you will see Mr Fenix.

So as many of you will probably know I’m a huge Fifa fan and a general football fan anyway, the new Fifa 12 game has been hyped up beyond all means and is now so tantalisingly close we can nearly touch it. It is released on the 30th or three days early for a few lucky people but in the UK and for most of us it is the 30th of Sept which as I write is now only 12 days away. So how good is it, well like most of us I have been playing the demo non stop for what seems like weeks but is only a week or so, it is quite an upgrade from previous Fifa’s and it seems like they are going all out to make this years Fifa as realistic as possible. It really is though, the animations and players faces are spot on and the game play with its new intuitive Tactical defending makes it really fun to play, sure it is a steep learning curve and people are already bemoaning the fact it is harder, yes but once you have learned the techniques it will become second nature and it means that if you have worked hard to get the ball off an attacker, when you eventually do it will be worthwhile, it remains to be seen how good this years Ultimate Team will be but if the rest of the game is anything to go by it will be great. The precision passing is back and this year it works even better, its great to be able to get the ball and then when in a tight spot keep it close to you while you look for a way out or a killer pass, it really is good. All that leaves me to say is  Roll on next Friday!!!

So another year and another Modern Warfare Game, this time the release date is 8th November, and as ever people are pre-oredering this soon to be best video game ever, yes there have been some improvements but Call Of Duty has always been about the online play, it is awesome and bloody good fun to play, there is however for the makers of Modern Warfare 3 a slight blip on the radar if you will and that is the announcement of Battlefield 3, now although this game has never been as popular as COD, this year that may have changed somewhat, this game is looking like the one that although it might not be able to match in online modes it will certainly beat in its campaign.

Battlefield 3 is looking sharper in the graphics side of things and its storyline is second to none so will it overtake Modern Warfare 3, Personally I don’t think so, but I would say that next year if it can better its online play then it does stand a very good chance, because graphically it is way ahead of COD, this may upset some people but you only have to take a look at some of the battlefield videos to know this is true. I myself have pre-ordered MW3 but will definitely keep an eye on how Battlefield does and then maybe see if it is worth a rent at the very least, So tell me, which war shooter are you buying this November?!!!!!

So the massive e3 computer game show has been and gone and we are still realing from some of the news that has been announced, of course there are lots of my favourite games that have been mentioned but one of them has had a new video published and I must say its looking great, yes that’s right its Fifa 12, the new football game is back and is looking meaner and leaner than ever. The scheduler worldwide release date is the 30th Sept so we only have around 3 and a half months to wait, which might seem like an age but trust me that will be around before you know it. So the video is looking pretty good and there are a number of reasons why. Fifa 12 Video The reasons are explained fully in that video and not only that if your a fan of Fifa Ultimate Team then if you pre order the game then you will get a free gold pack every week for six whole months. That is not only exciting because of the free gold packs but also because that must mean that Ultimate team is available as a download straight away as oppose to 3 months down the line.
