Xbox 360 Kinect

This new piece of gadgetry from Microsoft is a little wonder,if you have no idea what it is or anything about it then let me enlighten you,it is kind of like the Nintendo wii but without the controllers,that’s right it is entirely motion sensored.It is a small black video camera enabled piece of equipment that sits in front of your tv and makes a 3d scan of the room and you and then works either by your hand movements or for certain things it can be voice activated,think pausing movies and using fastforward!!.The xbox 360 Kinect has been available to buy since November and to be honest it as got really good feedback from the public,in fact i was given one as a present from my wife (think she actually wanted it really)and it is a great deal of fun.With regards to the games for Kinect xbox 360 they are rather limited at the moment as you might expect but they are still a bit more adult and grown up then the Wii.There are a couple of dance games with Dance central standing out above the other one,then a Kinect sports which is the best game out of them all as we speak,plus a few other fitness related ones and so on.Good news though this is the year when all the big games come out,normal looking games that you wouldn’t think are kinect ready,such as Star Wars,Forza Motorsport 4 and many other great looking titles that i personally cannot wait to play.So whats my opinion on this box of tricks.I will say this you don’t use it as often as you think you might although when you do it is great fun and you do need plenty of room,my living room isn’t small but is quite narrow so i have to be at an angle and even then we cant really do two player without moving stuff which is a shame,it need 8 feet of clear space to do two player but 10 feet would be better,that’s quite a large space,little tip though put the motion sensor on the wall behind the TV to give yourself another foot or so room.With the whole host of new fantastic looking games coming out soon i would definitely recommend it although beware there are lots of sites offering free xbox 360 kinect,its all a con I’m afraid you are going to have to pay for it.So the xbox 360 kinect a lovely little piece of kit for the 360 and one I’m sure you will all embrace.Go out and try one if you are still unsure as they are rolling out demo sites across the UK and America.
